Capitol Hill Day
Thursday, April 25, 2019
11:30 am – 4:00 pm
Please join us for the second annual North Star Chapter Capitol Hill Day! The Government Relations Committee (GRC) has introduced legislation to conform with the current Appraisal Qualifications Board licensing criteria, secure compensation for the Appraisal Advisory Board, and allow out-of-state appraisers to obtain temporary licenses to practice in Minnesota more easily.
Also, make your opinion known regarding SF 1991/HF 1153, which pertains to state-owned lands for sale and the requirement for an appraisal. An appraisal is required for property with a market value of $50,000 or greater. The bill would increase the threshold for an appraisal from $50,000 to $100,000.
Spend an afternoon with us to participate in grassroots, citizen lobbying that makes a real impact on the laws and the appraisal profession in Minnesota. This will be an engaging and entertaining event you will not forget.
Please RSVP no later than April 15.
There is no fee for this event. Lunch is included.
Please RSVP and direct any questions to Byron Miller, GRC Chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Additional materials and details will be provided upon your reservation.
