About Kurt Ophus: Kurt Ophus, MAI, was a dedicated leader within the North Star Chapter and Education Committee Chair for many years. As Education Chair, Kurt was responsible for determining which classes and seminars would be offered, as well as when and where they would be held. Not only did Kurt plan and execute educational offerings, he also gave education updates at all the Board of Directors meetings, regularly attended Regional Calls, and was instrumental in helping the Executive Committee with the annual budget for our Chapter. Kurt was always present with a great attitude and sound advice. He generously donated countless hours of his time to our Chapter to ensure that every year we would have first rate educational offerings. As a memorial of his commitment to education, funds have been generously awarded by Kurt’s family, businesses, and individuals for the benefit of Chapter members wishing to further their appraisal-related education (for contribution inquiries, please visit the Donate page).
