Job Description:
Appraises real estate for the purposes of dispute resolution, mortgage underwriting, acquisition/disposition, portfolio analysis and estate purposes.  Advancement to Sr. Appraiser is made by obtaining the MAI designation, or its equivalent.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Conducts formal appraisals, examining and evaluating commercial properties, to establish market values and property ratings
  • Responsible for the aggregation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of complex appraisal related market data through internal and outside sources.
  • Prepares complex appraisal reports
  • Completes formal rebuttal or review response letters
  • Participates in client contact meetings as well as in the proposal/bidding process
  • Maintain knowledge of current government regulations, zoning laws and appraisal standards
  • Understands all necessary software programs used within the department
  • Maintain familiarity with necessary data sources
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in real estate or related subjects such as Economics & Finance; preference is given to MS or MBA in Real Estate.
  • Must have state appropriate Certified General Appraiser License of appropriate state board
  • Minimum of 4 – 6 years professional experience in real estate analysis, market research or related field
  • Knowledge of Argus is required
  • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

The Minneapolis/St. Paul office of Integra Realty Resources, the nation’s largest independent valuation and consulting firm with Industry leading tools and technology is seeking a junior or entry level analyst (commercial real estate appraiser trainee).  This position is well-suited for those with 0-3 years of relevant real estate experience who wish to learn and work toward obtaining certified general appraisal license and appraising commercial real estate.  Knowledge of real estate, accounting/finance, economics and business gained through previous work experience or through real estate coursework is preferred.  Specific duties include assisting senior analysts/appraisers with analysis of complex commercial real estate and production of commercial real estate appraisal reports.  Tasks include arraying data into graphs and maps for use as report exhibits, researching, verifying and analyzing commercial real estate sales and lease transactions, and entering sale and lease transactions into IRR’s proprietary database, property inspections, report preparation, conducting market surveys and research, learning all aspects of the appraisal and valuation process.
